海と向き合いながら暮らしを築いてきた沖縄で、人の感覚と経験から生まれた伝統木造舟「サバニ」。
風の向き、波の癖、潮の流れ。自然の変化を読み取りながら進むために形づくられたその姿は、進み続けるための知恵と洗練された美しさを宿しています。前へ進むための工夫が積み重なったその造形は、沖縄の海と生きる人々の思考そのものを映しています。
sabaniかりゆしは、沖縄の空と海が見せる一日の表情を、ブロックグラデーションで描いた一着。
朝日が海の向こうから立ち上がる「あがてぃーや」。
太陽が真上に登り、海全体を力強く照らす「てぃだかんかん」。
そして、海に夕陽が沈み、昼と夜の境界がゆっくりと溶けていく「あこーくろー」。
一日の中で刻々と変わる光と色の移ろいを、それぞれの時間帯になぞらえながら、色の重なりとして表現しています。変わり続ける景色を纏うことで、装いの中に自然のリズムと、心に余白が生まれます。

生地には、柔らかな色合いが出るワルツ糸を使い、杢調染の素材を採用。薄すぎず厚すぎない、ちょうどいい生地感で、一枚でも心地よく着ることのできる一枚です。追い込みと柔軟加工を施すことで、肌あたりは柔らかく、動くたび自然な落ち感が生まれます。そして生地には、UV遮へい率80％という特徴も。日差しの強い沖縄では、夏の装いに心強い一着。
裾は、まっすぐにカットされたボックスタイプ。シャツを外に出して着てもバランスが良く、日常の装いに自然と馴染みます。きちんとしすぎず、崩しすぎない。仕事の日にも、少し肩の力を抜きたい日にも寄り添うかりゆしです。

In Okinawa, where people have long built their lives in close dialogue with the sea, the traditional wooden boat sabani was born from human intuition and lived experience.
Reading the direction of the wind, the character of the waves, and the flow of the tides, its form was shaped to keep moving forward in ever-changing conditions. That refined silhouette holds both practical wisdom and quiet beauty— a reflection of the way Okinawan people have lived alongside the ocean.
The sabani kariyushi captures the expressions of Okinawa’s sky and sea throughout a single day, rendered in layered blocks of color.
Agatiya—the morning light rising beyond the horizon.Tidakan-kan—the sun at its peak, illuminating the entire sea.And Akọ̄kurō—the moment when the sun sinks into the ocean, and the boundary between day and night slowly melts away.
These shifting lights and colors are translated into overlapping hues, allowing the rhythm of nature to settle gently into what you wear, creating space and calm within the garment itself.
The sabani depicted near the hem marks the very moment of departure into the open sea. From the shallows at the hem, the colors deepen toward the collar, as if the shirt itself becomes a vast ocean.
