《 Product Story 》ジャガードブリブサー

ブリブサーとは、沖縄の方言で「夜空に輝く群星」のこと。

琉球歌謡でも多く唄われてきた、代表的な琉球絣の紋様です。経糸と緯糸が交差して生まれる星の光と、そのにじみ。夜空に瞬く星のように、静かでありながら確かな存在感を宿します。

星は古くから道標の象徴。迷いの中でも、自分の歩幅で進むことの大切さや幸せを、そっと思い出させてくれる存在です。

今回のかりゆしウェアでは、そんな伝統的な琉球絣の紋様を胸元に刺繍で表現しました。生地の上に浮かび上がる星は、主張しすぎず、それでいて確かに視線を惹きつけます。

以前お客様から「座った時にかりゆしのデザインが隠れてしまうのが少し残念」というお声をいただきました。その言葉をきっかけに、今回は座った姿勢でも美しく映える胸元に刺繍を配置。さらに、平面的にならないよう縫い方にも工夫を凝らし、立体感が出るように設計しています。

生地にはジャガードを採用。生地の織り方そのもので複雑で立体的な模様を描き出す、高級感のある織り生地です。さりげなく織り込まれたドビー柄が、無地にはない奥行きと深みをプラス。光の当たり方によって陰影が生まれ、静かな存在感を演出します。実は、生地には、回収されたペットボトルを再利用して作られたリサイクル素材を使用。環境に配慮しながらも、透けにくく、程よい厚みのある安心感のある仕立てです。

織り込まれたドビー柄

一見シンプル。けれど、近づくほどに生地の豊かさが伝わる。動きの中でも表情を失わない。

星は古くから、道標とされてきました。夜の暗闇の中でも、進むべき方向を静かに示してくれる存在。

立ち止まることがあってもいい。迷う時間があってもいい。それでも、自分の歩幅で進めばいいのだと、変わらずそこにあり続けながらそっと語りかけてくれます。

《 Product Story 》Jacquard Buribusa

“Buribusa” is an Okinawan word meaning “a cluster of stars shining in the night sky.” It is also one of the most representative kasuri patterns found in traditional Ryukyuan textiles, often celebrated in classical Ryukyuan songs.

The light of the stars and their gentle blurring are created by the crossing of warp and weft threads. Like stars twinkling in the night sky, the pattern carries a quiet yet undeniable presence.

Since ancient times, stars have served as guiding lights. Even in moments of uncertainty, they gently remind us of the importance—and the quiet happiness—of moving forward at our own pace.

For this kariyushi shirt, we expressed this traditional Ryukyuan kasuri motif through embroidery placed at the chest. The star appears softly upon the fabric—never overpowering, yet unmistakably captivating.

In the past, a customer once shared with us: “It’s a little disappointing when the design becomes hidden while sitting.”

Inspired by that comment, we positioned the embroidery on the chest so it remains visible and beautiful even when seated. We also refined the stitching technique to create dimensionality, ensuring the motif feels sculptural rather than flat.

The body is crafted from jacquard fabric. By manipulating the weave itself, the textile forms intricate and dimensional patterns, giving it a refined, luxurious character.

A subtle dobby texture is woven in, adding depth and richness beyond that of a plain fabric. As light shifts across the surface, shadows emerge—creating a quiet, understated elegance.

At first glance, it appears simple. But the closer you look, the more the richness of the fabric reveals itself. Even in motion, its expression remains.

This is a piece filled with kizuna’s dedication to detail.

The fabric is also made from recycled materials derived from collected plastic bottles. While environmentally conscious, it maintains a reassuring structure—opaque, with a moderate weight that feels substantial.

Each time you slip it on, you may find yourself recalling the Okinawan night sky.

Stars have long been regarded as guiding lights— steady presences that quietly indicate direction even in the darkness.

It is all right to pause. It is all right to feel uncertain. Still, you may move forward at your own pace.

Like the stars, Jacquard Buribusa gently reminds us of the importance of living authentically— and of the quiet happiness found in the time we choose to build, step by step.
